AI camera helps prevent drownings – listen to ABC

This summer, like many before it, sadly brought a number of drowning deaths on our shores.

And as authorities strive to educate people about water safety, new AI-enabled CCTV cameras have helped save a man’s life in one of the deadliest rock fishing spots.

It is the first successful activation of the technology in Australia.
