AI artist Dimitrii becomes a breakout star for a rejected creator

A Melbourne creator who faced decades of rejection in the entertainment industry has unexpectedly broken through – thanks to an AI personality, according to heraldsun.com.au. Author and filmmaker Jayson Sutcliffe developed an AI singer named Dimitrii after his scripts and concepts were rejected by film and television executives for more than 20 years.

Dimitrii’s first single, Gravitywhich was released this month and has already racked up thousands of plays on Spotify and garnered global attention. For Sutcliffe, the project was a final attempt to make his voice heard. “It’s been a frustrating few decades,” he told the Herald Sun. Although he travels to Los Angeles every year for meetings and pitches, he said that deals always fail: “You keep building up to something, and then suddenly it’s nothing.”
