The Raspberry Pi is the heart of many DIY game consoles. By running emulation software like RetroPie, Recalbox, Batocera and Lakka, our favorite computer is more than capable of playing a variety of classic games from a variety of systems from the 8-bit to the 32-bit era. However, when Grigor Todorov decided to produce his own console, he chose not to base it on existing systems such as the Sega Mega Drive or SNES.
