Aeron Premium from Adaptive now available on Azure Marketplace as cloud brokers sign on; FinanceFeeds

Adaptive, a provider of customized trading technology solutions for capital markets firms, has made its Aeron Premium technology available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This collaboration allows Aeron users to leverage the Azure cloud platform for streamlined deployment and management of their trading systems.

Aeron Premium, built on Aeron’s open source technology, offers additional software components to enhance performance, security, and availability. The solution also includes enterprise-grade SLA support, architectural design consulting, and developer resources to help firms accelerate the creation of their trading systems and differentiate their technology stack.

By combining Aeron Premium with Microsoft Azure cloud technology, brokers can develop low-latency, high-performance trading systems in the cloud. Matt Barrett, Co-Founder and CEO of Adaptive, highlighted the importance of providing capital markets firms with access to powerful technology and expert advice to enhance the development of next-generation trading systems.

Jake Zborowski, general manager of Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp., stated that welcoming Aeron to the Azure Marketplace offers partners exposure to cloud customers worldwide and access to solutions that seamlessly integrate with Azure.

Adaptive recently conducted performance testing of Aeron technology on Google Cloud, demonstrating its potential for high performance and scalability in capital markets. The trials showed that Aeron technology can achieve sub-20 microsecond performance and process up to 4.7 million messages per second on Google Cloud infrastructure.

The testing, which utilized Aeron Transport for messaging and Aeron Cluster for continuous trading systems, revealed significant improvements in latency and throughput with the use of Aeron Premium components. Messaging latency was reduced from 57 to 18 microseconds, while throughput increased six-fold to 4.7 million messages per second. Aeron Cluster also saw reduced latency and increased throughput, exceeding 250,000 messages per second while maintaining sub-millisecond latency.

In January, ADS Securities LLC (ADSS) chose Adaptive to develop a new cloud-based trading platform that operates 24/7 and can be accessed via web and mobile apps. The platform leverages fault-tolerant Aeron and Hydra technology to provide users with a seamless trading experience across different devices. Adaptive will continue to work with ADSS as a long-term partner, providing strategic advice, platform design, and ongoing management to meet customer demand.
