Assured Data Protection (ADP) has launched a Zerto-powered disaster recovery service aimed at partners with VMware customers seeking flexible recovery options while offering a clear pathway out of long-term hypervisor lock-in.
The move comes as many organisations reconsider multi-year VMware commitments in the wake of Broadcom’s acquisition. Rising licensing costs, revised support models and uncertainty around future bundles are driving MSPs and enterprises to keep their options open. ADP’s new service directly targets this concern by allowing customers to maintain VMware today, strengthen disaster recovery immediately and still retain the option to migrate to alternative hypervisors such as Nutanix AHV on their own timeline.
