Adam Selipsky, CEO of Tableau Software
Adam Selipsky, CEO of Tableau Software since 2016, will succeed Andy Jassy as CEO of the cloud computing business of Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN).
Selipsky, who previously served as vice president of sales, marketing, and support at Amazon Web Services from 2005 to 2016, will return to AWS on May 17 and move on for a few weeks before taking over management positions sometime in the third quarter of 2021, said Jassy in an email to AWS employees.
“Adam brings strong judgment, customer obsession, team building, demand generation, and CEO experience to an already very strong AWS executive team. And after serving such a high position at AWS for 11 years, he knows our culture and business well, ”Jassy wrote in the email.
