Oracle says its AI code generation tools have become so efficient and the company is so good at using them that it has to dodge the SaaSpocalypse and watch smaller competitors suffer.
Big Red delivered that news in the third quarter Resultswhereupon co-CEO Mike Sicilia used the company’s earnings call to say, “AI tools and their coding capabilities would be a threat if we didn’t introduce them, but we are, and very quickly.”
“Using AI coding tools within Oracle enables smaller development teams to deliver more comprehensive solutions to our customers more quickly,” he said. “We are developing brand new SaaS products with AI and are also embedding AI agents directly into our existing application suites.”
Sicilia said Oracle had just developed three new customer experience (CX) applications as well as a new website builder that the company used to update its website.
