Google Cloud is geared towards gaining a larger share of the cloud market from competitors Amazon Web Services and Microsoft. Currently, Google Cloud has a market share of 6.1% compared to AWS with 40.8% and Microsoft with 19.7%. according to Gartner.
It also lags behind Chinese e-commerce and cloud giant Alibaba, which has a 9.5% market share.
