The owner of a popular ice cream parlor chain has revealed how much it cost him to open his first outlet in Bengaluru. Pradeep Kannan quit his stable and well-paid job at Oracle India in 2019 to open The Falooda Shop. In six years, the small ice cream shop has developed into a well-known chain with 18 branches across India and Dubai.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Kannan revealed how much it cost to open The Falooda Shop’s first branch in Bengaluru.
A breakdown of costs
The NIFT graduate revealed that this was the first Bengaluru Outlet required an investment of approx ₹22 lakh, including a rental deposit of ₹2.4 lakh, cost of licenses and registrations ₹60,000 and basic amenities worth ₹2 lakh.
