A leak details Apple’s secret smut on Corellium, a trusted security startup

    Zach Edwards, an independent privacy and security researcher, says that “sensitive technology cannot be sold haphazardly to any company in any country in the world.”

    “Although Corellium is a reverse-engineering tool that does not pose any risks by selling it, the tool’s primary purpose is to reverse malware,” says Edwards. “And if you sell the product to malware developers in countries averse to western interests, we should assume that this tool is used to enhance malware.”

    One person who has tried Corellium in the past and asked not to be known because they weren’t allowed to speak to the press says, “You shouldn’t do business with Russian companies given what’s happening in the world today,” as Elcomsoft said.
