A new survey published last month of where people would like to work after the pandemic confirms that most workers prefer a hybrid, flexible schedule. 51 percent of those surveyed said they would not want to be in the office five days a week. Call it virtualization, the cloud or the internet, the reality is that people are empowered by the choices offered by remote technology and make a strong statement: We like to see our colleagues for part of the week, but otherwise we’re happy to zoom and collaborate page? ˅.

The downside of this desire to be hybrid is, of course, the expectation of employees that their respective company will deliver an equally productive, efficient, and rewarding user experience (UX), whether on-site or remotely. It can be done! With virtual desktop technology, companies can provide every employee with a virtualized workplace that not only meets or exceeds expectations, but also saves IT teams with a shortage of staff from having to process unnecessary help desk tickets.
