The federal government has released the terms of reference for an investigation into this month’s major Optus outage.
Communications Minister Michelle Rowland has announced telecommunications veteran Richard Bean will lead the review.
It will examine access to triple-0 calls during the outage as well as whether network roaming could be implemented during potential future outages.
More than 10 million customers were cut off from phone and internet access for up to 14 hours during the outage.
It also prompted the resignation of chief executive Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, who was slammed for her response to the saga.
