CloudWatch customers can now tag their alarms to add context and categorize their resources. This allows them to convey information like purpose, priority, or contact team. These tags can be viewed on the alarm details page or accessed programmatically for automated processes and ticketing systems. While customers were already able to tag alarms using the API and command line interface, they can now also utilize CloudFormation for this purpose. This new feature provides customers with more flexibility and options for managing their CloudWatch alarms effectively.
