Intel is planning to retire the Core i9 12900KS processor, as indicated in a Product Change Notification. The closure will occur in phases, affecting both boxed and tray versions of the CPU. Partners can still place orders until January 2025, with the complete shutdown set for July 2025. This discontinuation will also include other models like the entry-level Core i models of the 10th generation. Despite the impact being minimal, with the 10th generation accounting for only 1% of sales volume, especially in South Korea, where it was launched in mid-2020.
