Central Tibetan Administration’s Youth Empowerment Section Begins 4th Batch of Amazon Web Service Re/Start Cloud Computing Skill Training

The fourth edition of the Amazon Web Service Re/Start Cloud Computing program was launched at the Dalai Lama Institute of Higher Education (DLIHE) in Bengaluru on July 1, 2024. The event was attended by Chief Guest Dr. Tenzin Passang, Director of DLIHE, along with other distinguished guests such as Aparna Singh, Program Director of Orbit Future Academy, Shefali, AWS Instructor, and Sonam Tashi, Project Officer of the Department of Home Affairs’ Youth Empowerment Support Wing.

This year, 11 Tibetan youth are participating in the AWS program, which aims to provide them with valuable skills in cloud computing. The program is a collaborative effort between the Department of Home Affairs’ Youth Empowerment Support Wing, CTA, and Natio Cultus Consultancy LLP, a part of Indonesia-based Orbit Future Academy.

During the inauguration event, Dr. Tenzin Passang highlighted the importance of cloud computing skills training in today’s digital age. He introduced Ms. Aparna Singh, who shared insights into the program and its benefits for the participants. The AWS Instructor, Shefali, also spoke about the learning objectives of the program and the opportunities it provides for the Tibetan youth.

The Department of the Interior, CTA, presented a report on the fourth cycle of the AWS cloud computing skills training, emphasizing the impact it has had on previous participants and the valuable skills they have acquired. The program is designed to equip Tibetan youth with the necessary knowledge and expertise to succeed in the field of cloud computing, opening up new opportunities for them in the digital economy.
