Atiqur Rahman named country leader of Cisco

Atiqur Rahman has been appointed as the new national leader of Cisco Bangladesh, according to a recent announcement by Shiva Kumar Yadagiri, CEO Business & SME of Cisco India and SAARC. Atiq brings over 24 years of experience in the IT industry in Bangladesh, having previously held positions at Dell, Microsoft, and Siemens. In his new role, Atiq aims to further Cisco’s commitment to the country by leveraging his expertise in sales, business development, channel, and product roles.
Shiva Kumar Yadagiri highlighted Cisco’s longstanding presence in Bangladesh, assisting customers with their digital and ICT needs for the past two decades. The company has a robust network of partners and resellers in the country, which will be further supported by Atiq’s appointment as the national leader. Atiq expressed his enthusiasm for joining Cisco at a crucial time in Bangladesh’s technological advancement, mentioning the potential for collaboration with local stakeholders to drive digital transformation and AI adoption. He emphasized Cisco’s role as a key partner in Bangladesh’s digital journey and looks forward to working closely with customers, partners, communities, and the government to unlock new possibilities.
Atiq holds an MBA in Marketing, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Applied Physics and Electronics from the University of Dhaka. His educational background, combined with his extensive industry experience, positions him well to lead Cisco’s operations in Bangladesh and contribute to the country’s digital development.
