Google has surprised everyone by announcing another summer event on August 13 in Mountain View, California. The event will feature a keynote at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, followed by hands-on demos showcasing Google AI, Android software, and the Pixel devices. Last year’s event took place in October, where the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro were launched, along with the Pixel Clock 2. This upcoming event may give a sneak peek at the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the Pixel Clock 3, as well as the rumored Pixel 3XL watch and Pixel 9 Pro XL. There is also speculation about a foldable Pixel 9 Pro following last year’s Pixel fold.
Google has already announced various AI features and initiatives this year, and the event is expected to highlight even more examples and how they integrate with the new hardware devices. For instance, new AIs in Android 15, such as the expanded Search circle, real-time scam alerts, and TalkBack, may be showcased. Google has been surprising consumers with its product launches this year, such as releasing the Pixel 8a earlier than expected instead of at Google I/O as anticipated. Stay tuned for more updates on this upcoming event and potential new Google products.
