The Bangalore-based startup raised a series B funding round to scale its software that helps businesses cut the cost of AI tokens and cloud providers make better use of GPU capacity.
Simplismart, an AI infrastructure startup, has raised $14m in a series B round led by Dallas Venture Capital, with participation from Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax. The company develops software designed to make AI inference — the process of running trained models to generate outputs — more efficient, helping enterprises reduce costs while enabling cloud providers to turn GPU capacity into services they can sell.
As companies move AI from experimentation into everyday business applications, the cost of running models is becoming a pressing concern. Every question answered, document processed or video generated consumes computing resources, and the expense can mount quickly as usage scales.
Businesses building AI products increasingly need to balance delivering fast enough responses with keeping inference costs down. Access to powerful models is becoming less of a differentiator as open-weight alternatives proliferate. The critical factor is cost.
“The industry has spent years pushing the limits of what AI models can do. With frontier-class open models now readily available, access alone is no longer enough to set a business apart. The advantage comes from how you run them: what each…
