Epic Games, known for Fortnite, recently won a case against Google over anti-competitive practices regarding the Play Store. Epic accused Google of offering $147 million to host Fortnite on their platform. Following a court ruling, Google has estimated it would cost between $60 million and $140 million to meet Epic’s demands to allow third-party app stores within the Play Store. Google argues this would take up to 16 months and $67 million to implement, potentially impacting privacy and security. A final hearing is scheduled for August 14.
