Google’s 10-year Googlebook update policy sounds amazing, but the reality completely ruins it

Google promised grand things with Googlebooks, with Gemini at the center. It also comes with a 10-year update commitment, overshadowing what rival laptop brands have pledged.

However, the Googlebook’s arrival has dampened my enthusiasm despite its flashy features and premium hardware.

The problem is, the length of support no longer matters, at least based on the signal I am getting about Googlebook’s current state.

While an extended software policy is always welcome, Googlebook doesn’t bridge the massive divide between Android and desktop.

And I have a solid argument to back that up.
