Two accounts that post graphics card supply claims said on October 10 that Nvidia has stopped sending its GB202 chip to the GeForce RTX 5090, and that every one it makes from now on goes to professional cards instead. Treat it as a rumour: neither post offers a date, a notice number or anything beyond a sentence, and Nvidia has published nothing.

Nvidia’s RTX PRO desktop comparison lists the RTX PRO 6000 at 96 GB and the RTX PRO 5500 at 84 GB, and never prints a die name. Image: Nvidia
The clearest version is MEGAsizeGPU’s. “No more GB202 for 5090, confirmed,” the account posted at 07:02:48 UTC, following it five minutes later with “All future GB202 supplies are RTX Pro exclusive”. Both were read through X’s syndication endpoint at 21:48 UTC on October 10.
A second account, hongxing2020, had posted “5090 EOL, 5080 24GB ready” at 04:44:18 UTC, a little over two hours earlier, attaching a photograph of what is presented as a notice. Nothing here authenticates that image, and EOL is that account’s own word for its own claim rather than anything Nvidia has used.
