Nvidia Puts $1 Billion Behind America’s Next Tech Wave

Nvidia NVDA is committing $1 billion over five years to support U.S. artificial intelligence, quantum computing, healthcare and energy-security initiatives, expanding its role from chip supplier into a broader strategic partner for American science and industrial policy. For investors, the spending is small relative to Nvidia’s scale but could deepen its ties with universities, cloud providers and federal research programs that drive long-term demand for advanced computing.

The initiative will support research universities, U.S. quantum-computing leadership and cloud-service providers. Nvidia also said it is participating in phase-two awards tied to the federal Genesis Mission, announced Thursday at the Science: A New Golden Age event in Washington.
