11:11 Systems has completed the acquisition of IBM VMware Cloud Service Provider enterprise customers. The deal covers “hundreds” of IBM VMware customers, and follows the decision by IBM not to sign up new VMware cloud customers last year.
IBM made that decision following Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware, and the terms of VCSP contracts changing. There had been speculation that IBM was going to be axed as a VCSP partner anyway. We have not been told how many VMware cloud customers will remain under IBM’s control under existing contracts.
11:11 bills itself as the “largest, private, global VCSP”. 11:11 Systems has acquired seven other VMware cloud software businesses in recent years, including iland Cloud, Green Cloud Defense, Unitas Global, Sungard Availability Services, Faction, Ntirety and Digital Sense.
The acquisition of select IBM VMware Cloud Service Provider enterprise customers will therefore mark 11:11’s eighth purchase of a VMware CSP business. The acquisition…
