Microsoft has confirmed that the tenth-generation Xbox Helix will not be a single console, but a whole family of devices, with the traditional Xbox remaining at its center.
Xbox head Asha Sharma spoke about this at an internal meeting with employees, a recording of which was obtained by Jez Corden of Windows Central. According to her, at the beginning of the year the situation was difficult: the number of players, time in the ecosystem, and revenues were declining, and the previous Game Pass strategy led the business into a “free fall.” Now, indicators have stabilized and positive sentiment towards the brand has grown by 30% over the year.
Microsoft will continue to invest in Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, the disc-to-digital program, and Xbox Play Anywhere. Game Pass should also become more flexible.
