Google Wallet has expanded its support to include 29 new banks, bringing the total number of supported banks to over 200 by 2024. The digital wallet allows users to store and use bank cards, passes, keys, tickets, and IDs for easy access. Many major retailers in the US accept payments through Google Wallet, with efforts being made to include driver’s licenses.
To make Google Wallet more accessible, new banks are added each month, with 170 added just this year. The 29 new banks recently added include Bank of Grandin (MO), Best Financial Credit Union (MI), Bridge City Bank (TX), and others. It may take some time for the new banks to fully integrate with Google Wallet, but users can check the Google Wallet Help Page for updates.
Adding a new card to Google Wallet can be done through the app by tapping the + Add to wallet button and entering card details manually or by scanning it. Users can also add cards through their bank’s website or app by logging in, locating the Add to Google Wallet button, and following the instructions. More information on adding cards directly from a bank’s website is available on Google’s support page.
