Google has launched the screenless Fitbit Air fitness tracker in India at a price of 13,999 rupees, or approximately $146. In the United States, the device costs $99, making the Indian price about $47 higher. TechCrunch reports on the launch.
Tracker features
Fitbit Air was unveiled in May. The device tracks heart rate around the clock, heart rhythm, and sends notifications about signs of atrial fibrillation. It also measures blood oxygen levels, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages and sleep duration.
The tracker has no screen. According to TechCrunch, the popularity of screenless health devices is growing, as some users choose gadgets without constant interaction with a display. This segment includes, in particular, Whoop fitness bands and Oura rings.
