Cisco Systems, the networking and security company CSCO, said enterprises are giving AI agents more control over network operations. Shares slipped about 0.4% to $106.265 at 11.25am ET time on September 29. The appeal is easy to see: network teams are drowning in alerts, and Cisco wants its software to help clear them.
In a survey of 1,000 technology leaders conducted by Omdia for Cisco, the average organization reported roughly 4,100 monitoring events a day. Cisco estimated that clearing the daily network alert backlog by hand would take about 100 specialists. Some 86% of respondents favored a single integrated platform, giving Cisco an opening to sell networking, security and observability together.
That opening still has to turn into sales. The chart places Cisco’s $106.265 share price 41.93% above its $74.87 GF Value estimate, leaving little room for a story that stays a story. Investors need to see platform bookings, more customers adopting Splunk alongside Cisco products, and…
