Microsoft MSFT received a higher price target from Oppenheimer after the investment firm met with company management and maintained its positive view on the software giant’s growth prospects.
Oppenheimer analyst Brian Schwartz raised his target to $570 from $515 and kept an Outperform rating. He said Microsoft’s focus on controlling investment while expanding its AI business remains central to the firm’s outlook.
Schwartz expects Azure and Microsoft 365 commercial revenue to maintain momentum in fiscal 2027. He pointed to continued Copilot adoption, additional computing capacity and growing use of Microsoft’s platforms for enterprise AI workloads as potential contributors.
The analyst also highlighted improving efficiency and tighter capital allocation. He expects those efforts to support more predictable capital spending and positive free cash flow this year compared with some other large cloud providers.
