Amazon Web Services Weekly Update: Latest Enhancements on Knowledge Bases for Amazon Bedrock, OAC for Lambda Function URL Origins on Amazon CloudFront, and More (April 15, 2024)

Last week, AWS Poland hosted the AWS Community Day, drawing in over 600 attendees who were treated to insightful talks from community speakers like Agnieszka Biernacka and Krzysztof Kakol. One attendee, Wojtek Gawronski, expressed excitement to return next year.

In terms of recent releases, Amazon CloudFront now supports origin access control for Lambda function URL origins, allowing users to protect their AWS Lambda using URL sources. Additionally, AWS Client VPN and AWS Verified Access can now be combined for new or existing applications.

Two new features related to Amazon Bedrock knowledge bases were also announced: metadata filtering to improve retrieval accuracy and custom requests for the RetrieveAndGenerate API, allowing users to set the maximum number of results retrieved.
