Azure Updates: App Service Web Apps Now Feature Automatic Scaling for General Availability in Microsoft Azure

Azure App Service has announced the general availability of the “Auto Scaling” feature, following valuable feedback received during the preview phase. The Auto Scaling feature has been improved and is now available for Premium V2 (P1V2, P2V2, P3V2) and Premium V3 (P0V3, P1V3, P2V3, P3V3, P1MV3, P2MV3, P3MV3, P4MV3, P5MV3) pricing tiers. This feature is supported for all application types, including Windows, Linux, and Windows container.

A new metric called “Auto-scaling instance count” is now accessible for web applications where auto-scaling is enabled. The AutomaticScalingInstanceCount will show the number of virtual machines the application is running on, including the pre-warmed instance if deployed.

In addition to these enhancements, the auto-scaling feature also maintains its key capabilities. Users can refer to Microsoft’s official resources for more information on how to enable auto-scaling on Azure App Service. The announcement of the general availability of the Azure App Service auto-scaling feature marks an exciting update for users seeking improved scalability and performance in their applications.
