Cloud computing specialist Innogrid is set to dramatically strengthen the data infrastructure stability of KINTEX. The initiative centers on establishing a high-availability framework by implementing storage and database management system (DBMS) redundancy atop the cloud virtualization environment previously deployed by Innogrid, ensuring uninterrupted service operations even in the event of system failures.
Innogrid (CEO Kim Myung-jin) announced on August 5 that it has won the “KINTEX Integrated Storage and DBMS Redundancy Implementation Project.” This project represents a follow-on enhancement effort that builds upon Innogrid’s cloud virtualization solution, which KINTEX had adopted earlier, elevating the fault-tolerance capabilities of its core data repositories to the next level.
During its initial IT infrastructure build-out, KINTEX conducted an extensive evaluation of foreign solutions, including VMware and Red Hat-based products, before ultimately selecting Innogrid’s cloud virtualization solution. Since then, KINTEX has migrated its entire existing business system environment to the cloud and now aims to further enhance the overall maturity of its infrastructure through this project.
For this engagement, Innogrid will implement redundancy for both cloud-dedicated storage and Oracle database repositories. The centerpiece is the deployment of an active-standby architecture that links production and standby servers. A data replication and synchronization framework…
