Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Danfoss have joined forces to introduce HPE IT Sustainability Services: Data Center Heat Recovery, a solution designed to assist organizations in managing excess heat as they move towards more environmentally friendly IT facilities. The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in businesses is predicted to lead to an increase in energy consumption and the use of AI-optimized IT infrastructure. The International Energy Agency estimates that by 2026, the AI industry could consume ten times more electricity than it did in 2023. To combat these challenges, IT leaders and data center operators are implementing measures to decrease energy consumption, such as deploying modern energy-efficient capabilities and enhanced cooling systems. Jürgen Fischer, President of Danfoss Climate Solutions, highlighted the companies’ shared vision of transforming the data center industry through innovation and decarbonization, emphasizing the positive impact on customers. The implementation of direct liquid cooling technologies within HPE’s modular data center enhances energy efficiency, optimizes power management and distribution, and results in substantial energy savings.
