Google completes gradient Workspace icon redesign on Android

Google has completely rolled out its new gradient Workspace icons on Android, iOS, and the web.

The new icons started rolling out the day before I/O 2026 on May 18. This redesign first came to the web, with all Workspace apps on iOS updated by May 26. 

It took until today for everything on Android to be completely rolled out: Gmail, Google Calendar, Tasks, Chat, Meet, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Keep, and Voice. There’s also Google Forms, Sites, and Vids, but those services lack mobile applications.

On Android, Gmail was the straggler, with everything else seeing wide availability the week prior. The email client maintains its previous shape, with the status bar icon not changing, but benefits from more red in the logo to aid visibility.
