It’s graduation season, which means you’re probably going to take a lot of photos and videos. Before you do that, it’s a good idea to clean out some digital space to store all those new memories in. If you use Google Drive, you get up to 15GB of free storage for all your photos, videos and other documents, but that space can run out quickly if it’s your primary digital storage. And Google told CNET’s Omar Gallaga that it’s testing out a new storage policy in some regions, so you might have less than 15GB of free storage.
If you’re running low on storage, Google has likely prompted you to upgrade to a Google One plan, but you don’t have to pay for more digital storage. If you’re willing to create another Google account, you can transfer all your old email and files for free.
