Fitbit Air review: Health monitoring for the AI ​​generation – Engadget

Google introduced AI Coach and a redesign of the Fitbit app in August, but announced this month that it would completely replace its existing wellness apps with Google Health. This means those who use Google Fit will be asked to install the new app and migrate their data, while those who currently use the Fitbit app will see a rebrand. Since the UI itself is very different from the relatively new 2023 redesign, and the August redesign is just coming out of public preview, I thought I’d evaluate its performance.

Compared to older versions of the Fitbit app, the first difference long-time users might notice is the layout of the information on the Home (or Today) page. Instead of a long card feed of metrics about your health, the top third of the screen is now a horizontally swipeable carousel, which I found pleasantly easy to use.
