CBA boss warns of job losses due to AI and advocates for copyright protection

Commonwealth Bank chief executive Matt Comyn says the Albanian government does not have to choose between copyright protection for the creative industries and investing in artificial intelligence in Australia, warning there will be job losses across the economy from the emerging technology.

Leading media and arts organizations have called on the federal government to stay true to copyright law as global AI companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI push to weaken strict rules given their investment plans in Australia.
