Perplexity opens access to Bumblebee, a security tool for macOS, Linux

Perplexity has opened access to Bumblebee, a readonly supplychain scanner designed for developer computers running macOS and Linux. The tool scans systems for risky software packages, browser extensions, editor extensions, and AI tool configurations. It does not execute code or package managers during scans, preventing malicious install scripts and identifies exposure to supplychain threats.
