‘No Google Translate Needed’: Tourists and Parisians United by 6-7 Trend

Tourists and locals alike were united by the “universal language” of the 6-7 trend in Paris, France, recently shared viral footage shows.

Mona Maria Yazigi told Storyful she was having a normal day by the Seine, talking and eating snacks with a friend when a boat came past.

“We wanted to test the 6-7 gesture and see if anyone would respond to it,” she said. “At first we felt a bit silly for following the trend but it was nice seeing how two numbers can connect the whole world.”

Footage recorded by Yazigi shows children responding to the 6-7 gesture, excitedly flapping their arms up and down toward the camera.
