On Thursday, the San Francisco Giants will host a special event at Oracle Park to honor baseball legend Willie Mays and celebrate his legacy. The event will include a televised game at Rickwood Field featuring images of Mays, who passed away at the age of 93 on Tuesday. In addition, there will be a “24” sculpture in center field and a book of condolence for fans to sign. The doors to Oracle Park will open at 12 pm, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:15 pm. Attendees can enter through Willie Mays Plaza and the doors along the Portwalk, and admission to the event is free. This event is a fitting tribute to Mays and his contributions to the game of baseball, as well as a celebration of the Negro Leagues where he began his career.
