Good morning Hilary Maxson takes on the CFO role at oracle at a crucial – and risky – moment. As the company invests heavily in AI infrastructure to keep pace with other hyperscalers, the job is no longer just about financial management; It’s about managing the trade-offs of a capital-intensive future bet.

Maxson started as CFO of the company on Monday announced. She was previously EVP and Group CFO at Schneider Electric and spent 12 years at AES Companies in senior positions in finance, strategy and M&A. Doug Kehring will leave his role as Oracle’s chief financial officer.

Oracle co-founder and CTO Larry Ellison briefly became the world’s richest person in September 2025 when the company’s shares rose 40%, rising by about $100 billion to over $400 billion. However, in April 2026, concerns about AI spending cut the stock in half, cutting over $200 billion and leaving its net worth at nearly $200 billion.
