The billionaire boss of artificial intelligence giant Anthropic says he is not trying to persuade Australia to change its mind about protecting the copyright of musicians, writers and other artists.
Anthropic boss Dario Amodei has also stated that a “sophisticated” tax is inevitable to ensure that AI-generated profits, which would previously have benefited a human workforce, are still distributed fairly throughout society.
Mr Amodei took part in a wide-ranging conversation on stage at the Anthropic Futures Forum in Parliament House today, part of a wider charm offensive by the company, which is now turning its attention to Australia.
