HPE is betting big on its successful acquisition of Juniper Networks last year, adding a series of router products with enhanced features designed for networking and AI computing, and positioning service providers to build and monetize their own AI infrastructure.
The company announced updates to its Juniper PTX series routers and ProLiant servers this week, ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (March 2-5).
HPE said its expanded service provider strategy will focus on high-performance, secure AI-native networks, including its Juniper PTX12000 line of modular routers, PTX10002 line of fixed routers, ProLiant Compute EL9000 chassis and EL140 Gen12 server, and Juniper Cloud-Native router integration.
The PTX 12000 line allows network operators to scale AI and cloud traffic without repeated infrastructure redesigns, the company said. The routers offer 800G port density on 1.6T-ready platforms and scale to 345.6T. The PTX10002 line uses a compact 2RU footprint for AI networks…
