Heath to break ground on Microsoft data center expected to bring hundreds of jobs

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Heath is marking the start of construction on a new Microsoft data center with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.

The facility is being built off Thornwood Drive and is intended to help meet demand for cloud computing, AI infrastructure and digital services across the region and the country.

The project is expected to generate hundreds of construction jobs and full-time operations jobs.
