Oracle’s 5 million deal confirmed after closing ad tech division

A lower court duly agreed Oracle America Inc.A federal appeals court ruled that it reached a $115 million settlement in a privacy dispute over its online data collection practices, despite the objections of a single member of the group.

The lower court accurately assessed the risks of continued litigation and did not abuse its discretion when it approved an allocation plan that would distribute settlement funds equally among all plaintiffs, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said said Friday.

Attorneys for Oracle, the plaintiffs and objector Sarah Feldman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
