Anthropic’s recent capital raising underscores that both the risks and rewards of the artificial intelligence boom are increasing almost daily.
Founded just five years ago by siblings Dario and Daniela Amodei, the $US30 billion ($42 billion) raising company Anthropic posted its first revenue of an extraordinary $US380 billion ($537 billion) less than three years ago.
This is even more remarkable considering that less than six months ago, when it raised $13.5 billion, the company’s valuation was just $183 billion, and a year ago, when it raised $13 billion, it was $61.5 billion.
