Aerospike Database 8 now includes native Dynamic Data Masking (DDM), enabled by default, to mask PII at the database layer for all users and machine identities except those explicitly granted privileges. This removes the need for app-layer masking logic or external tokenization services, simplifying compliance while preserving Aerospike’s low-latency behavior for AI and transactional workloads where regulated data must be accessed safely in real time.
