Is Oracle still worth pursuing, or will the stock fall even further?

oracle (NYSE:ORCL) Last year it looked like it was destined to become the next $1 trillion company before things took an abrupt turn. The stock has since almost halved and the market cap is now under $470 billion. That’s despite the company being deep in the burgeoning AI data center race and having outsized influence over the U.S. government.

Larry Ellison stood at the podium alongside Trump last year and recently signed a deal with ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, to take partial control of the app’s US arm. The company is investing capital in AI-centric data centers, something the market rewarded the company for just a few months ago.

Why has the stock suddenly deteriorated, and is now the time to buy on the dip? We have to look a little deeper.
