Microsoft announced its Maya 200 chip. Uh it’s uh basically built specifically for AI and Microsoft says that it’ll be running in its data center with its super intelligent uh uh business, basically to run its own and uh open AI models. And so it’s just kind of getting started using the chip. uh and then eventually it’ll open it up uh to third-party customers to be able to use from Microsoft’s data center. So it’s not exactly selling these chips at all. uh but if people want to be able to run some apps using it, they will be able to when they sign up for for Azure and and such. This is down the line again. Uh and it really is basically uh a response to two things. One is uh Google and Amazon uh and their own chips. We’ve seen Google, they’re on their seventh generation custom AI chip. Amazon has their third generation uh chip as well. And then to kind of reduce their reliance on Nvidia’s chips. So it’s it’s kind of a threat to Nvidia.
