I’m reporting from Davos, Switzerland, where thousands of business leaders and politicians have gathered at the World Economic Forum to shake hands, talk shop and maybe even do a few ski trips.
Some executives I spoke to this week had major concerns about AI, but none of them had anything to do with a potential bubble.
Raj Sharma, EY’s global managing partner for growth and innovation, said there isn’t enough talk about AI security – particularly the management of AI agents and their lifecycle.
“It has access to your data. It has no name, so there is no identity or anything associated with it,” said Sharma.
Compare that to humans, who often have every computer system and piece of data they touch tracked.
“We need to build industry-grade security for AI agents in this particular area. To me, that’s still a gap that someone needs to work on,” said Sharma. “Everyone speaks well…”
