Technology infrastructure entrepreneur Bevan Slattery’s latest venture, Subco, has unveiled a new $500 million plan to build an undersea cable to connect artificial intelligence data centers in Australia and the United States.
The project, called APX East, is what the company says is a world-first “express hypercable” that, once the necessary approvals are received, will be the longest continuous submarine optical cable route in the world.
